Eurosport to air elite handball in France and Poland

The deal runs until the end of the 2025-26 season.

Eurosport has confirmed a six-year deal to air elite handball in France and Poland, including all the major European club competitions.

The agreement with the European Handball Federation (EHF) and EHF Marketing gives Eurosport exclusive rights to screen the sport in these territories.

The deal runs until the end of the 2025-26 season. As well as the EHF Champions League, EHF European League and EHF European Cup, it also includes the next three editions of the men’s and women’s Beach Handball Euros.

Antonio Ruiz, SVP general manager France & Iberia, said: “With one year to go before Tokyo 2020 and four years before Paris 2024, when Eurosport will be the official broadcaster in France, the acquisition of these rights will help us tell the stories of the best handball players all year-round.”

• The next round of the DELO EHF Champions League starts on Saturday 19 September from 4pm CEST
• The next round of the EHF European League Men is scheduled for Tuesday 22 September from 6.45pm CEST
• The EHF European League Women starts on Saturday 10 October September from 4pm CEST

Dorota Żurkowska-Bytner, director of Eurosport in Poland, added: “The agreement with the EHF and EHF Marketing complements perfectly our offer that will satisfy every sports fan. Handball joins winter sports, including ski jumping as well as and cycling, Grand Slam tennis, snooker and the Olympic Games as one of our key sports on Eurosport in Poland.”
